If you are on the computer that your webcam is connected
to:
a. You may be behind a "stateful
security" firewall. To determine if this is the case, run THIS
TEST. If any of the tests report "Success" your firewall
is *not* stateful security level, so you should move on to solution b.
b. Your camera is not turned
on.
c. Your camera is not chosen
in the default settings.
Right-click on the video window and choose 'Settings...', then click
on the Camera tab (icon that looks like an eyeball). In the dropdown
menu, choose your camera from the list. If no cameras are found, check
the cables and power supply to the camera.
d. Your Flash Player may be out
of date or corrupt. Download and install an updated
Flash Player and try again.
e. Your computer may have a virus
that is interfering with your internet connection. Run a virus detection
program such as Norton Antivirus to detect and remove the virus.
If you are logging in from a remote location, either under
the Master Account or a Guest Account:
a. You may be behind a "stateful
security" firewall. To determine if this is the case, run THIS
TEST. If any of the tests report "Success" your firewall
is *not* stateful security level, so you should move on to solution b.
b. The camera you are trying
to watch is not currently logged in and broadcasting.
c. Your Flash Player may be out
of date or corrupt. Download and install an updated
Flash Player and try again.
d. Your computer may have a virus
that is interfering with your internet connection. Run a virus detection
program such as Norton Antivirus to detect and remove the virus. |
